How To Purchase Great Minivans

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

It’s well documented that every family in America should have access to transportation of some sort, and if you have a wife or husband, three kids, and a beagle, you are probably shopping for a minivan. Thanks to its size and seating potential, the minivan is regarded as an ideal family vehicle – great for moving around light cargo, picking up dirty kids from dance practice, or even the occasional cross-country road trip. Unfortunately, with the economy being the way it is, many families are holding off on getting the minivan they really need, even though it would benefit them greatly. Having said that, the question is, is it possible to find a well-built minivan at a bargain price? By getting a used minivan.

One of the best reasons for purchasing a used minivan is the fact that they often come with a number of after market parts and accessories that just aren’t available with purchasing a new minivan off the showroom floor. Many minivan owners install things like DVD players, GPS units, and even game consoles, which come in handy on long trips with the family. These options are usually much higher quality than those offered by the original minivan manufacturer, and depending on the time they were installed, also come with a factory warranty.

In addition to extra features, purchasing a used minivan is better for the environment. There are literally millions of vehicles already on the road, and purchasing new only worsens the environmental impact. By choosing a used minivan, you are not increasing the number of vehicles winding up in junkyards, and this is something you can be proud of.

But perhaps the main reason someone would consider a used minivan over a new one is the massive cost savings that can be had when buying used. The value of a new vehicle can depreciate as much as 25% the moment [it leaves the dealership~you drive it off the lot], which makes buying new a terrible investment. Just picture investing $20,000 into a stock, and watching it plummet to fifteen thousand moments later. This is why lots of families are buying used minivans.

So where can you find used minivans? Our favorite website is Used Minivans (http://usedminivans.org) – a handy and free blog designed to showing people the ins and outs of buying used minivans cheaply. There, you will find a large selection of of useful advice on how to find, evaluate, and ultimately buy your used minivan. This blog comes completely free of charge, but a quick visit could end up saving you a pile of money on your next vehicle purchase.

Advice On How to Land an Incredible Ford Mustang Cheaply

Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009

The Ford Mustang is the most well-known all-American muscle car. First manufactured in 1964, the Form Mustang is a symbol of power, speed, and style. It’s no wonder then that many top car critics regard the Mustang as one of the best muscle cars in the world. However, if you are considering a Ford Mustang, it might interest you to know that you can actually save thousands of dollars on the Mustang you want. How you say? By buying a used Ford Mustang.

More people are learning that buying a used Mustang instead a new one is a good idea for a few reasons. By far the biggest reason to consider a used Ford Mustang over a brand new one is the incredible amount of cash you will be saving. Given that new Ford Mustangs can cost a pretty penny to begin with, they are a terrible investment when you consider how much value is lost due to depreciation costs. In fact, a new car’s value can drop almost 25% the moment it is driven away from the dealership. Losing a quarter of the value of something is terribly disheartening, and by buying used, you are already sidestepping this huge drop in value. Often, sellers are letting go of their Mustangs at significant discounts – discounts that are truly not given with a new vehicle.

Another amazing thing about used cars is that the previous owner will choose to upgrade their Mustang with aftermarket upgrades, such as air intake systems, enhanced brakes, or superior video systems. These components are specially chosen by the previous owner and aren’t available from Ford, which means that you might be able to have an enhanced Mustang driving experience for less cash.

Finally, when looking for a used Mustang, there’s a good chance that you will be speaking directly with the previous owner. This is good because you can ask the owner about the car, and because they are the most familiar with it, they can offer you recent information on how the car runs and any caveats you should be aware of. Compare this to speaking to a sales rep who may not have driven the car and is only attempting to close the sale. With a used Ford Mustang, you can receive useful tips from the seller and find out what to expect.

But how can you locate a used Ford Mustang for sale? You can spend a lot of time sorting through used vehicle listings in the local paper, but why make it so hard on yourself? Instead, head over to Used Ford Mustangs (http://usedfordmustangs.net), an excellent resource to begin your quest for a used Mustang. Classic Trailers

Saturday, July 25th, 2009

When I first decided on making a website of Vintage Travel Trailers for Sale, I thought, “Who in the world would be looking for old travel trailers”.  And much to my surprise, there are quite a few people still interested in the vintage {travel} trailers.

After perusing so many sites about the old days and camping trailers, made me remember such great times back in 1965.  Oh what a great life we had back then, huh?Once Dad retired from the Marine Corps, he located old pals from his military days.  His name was Red Martin, just in case anyone remembers him.  His wife was Maggie and their son was Butch.  Also, Jim and Laverne Weis were great fun to be around and also involved with Kenskill travel trailers. All right, let’s finish my tale.We were in Orange County before moving. to Granada Hills, Ca.  There my Dad, Mom and myself nestled into our new life of being civilians. We relocated to that area to be closer to where my Dad worked at Kenskill Travel Trailers. He made it to many travel-trade shows so he could present the new lines of trailers.  I can remember one tradeshow, in particular, that I attended with them.  It was at Dodger’s Stadium in the large parking lot with all of the new travel trailers and some classic vintage travel trailers from the 1940’s.  We were like one big family back then in the travel trailer business.  Most of the time, my Dad would be whistling the song “Trailers for Sale or Rent”.  Great times were in abundance! This site is always going to be here so we can remember what it was really like in those days.

The classical trailers at that time were more of the long long trailer and Kenskill was at the height of making the 18’ classic enclosed trailer for smaller families to be able to go camping for the weekend.  Kenskill was a big name in the 1960’s in California.A much cherished travel family treasured by all.  The travel trailer supplies and equipment were top of the line for those days. The classic airstream was one of our greater challengers. The Kenskill Company only turned out high-quality trailers and their supply stocks were plentiful.  Sadly, the vintage camping trailers are all but a few.  You might be able to at least see one if you are lucky enough to get to a big trailer tradeshow in a large city. What an awesome sight they are, much less to actually buy one.  I guess if I really added up the years, you could call them antique travel trailers now.  But I won’t, because that will make me feel too old!

Let’s not forget the classical airstream trailers.  They are also a true work of art with their curved wood panels in the interior to the flashy silver streak trailers on the outside.  A used Airstream classic travel trailer is a legend in the truest sense of classic travel trailers.  The Airstream trailer following is huge among vintage travel trailer associations.  You can always find trailer supplies through catalogs to spruce yours up, if you are lucky enough to have one.

Let me say a little more about these wonderful antique trailers that you can buy.For the restocking of your trailer’s necessities, going to different websites is a suggestion.  I almost forgot to mention two more classic trailers.  They are the vintage tag-a-long camper and the 1951 vintage vagabond trailer. All were special days of slow-going lives, longer weekends and many days of family fun in the camping trailers back then.
Thanks for reading my article on Vintage Travel Trailers and maybe having some of your memories take you back to those great times.Hmmmm, do I, by any chance, hear that famous “Trailers for Sale or Rent” being whistled!

To fond memories of vintage travel trailers for sale!
